PURPOSE:To obtain a pipe lined with synthetic resin in a rigidly unitized fashion and having good appearance by a method wherein a thermally expandable synthetic resin tube is held at temperatures between the normal temperature and its softening temperature, a film-like heat sensitive adhesive is pushed out of a die in the tubular form to cover the outer periphery of the tube, and the coated pipe is inserted in a metallic pipe and then subjected to thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin tube A1 pushed out from a mouthpiece 2 of an extruder 1 is contracted in its diameter while passing through a former 3, thereby to give the tube with thermal expansivity, and it is then cooled and hardened in a cooling tank 4 to obtain a thermally expandable synthetic resin tube A2. This tube is passed through a heating unit 6 to hold it at predetermined temperatures higher than the normal temperature but lower than its softening temperature, and then guided into a cross head die 7. A film-like heat sensitive adhesive B is pushed out of the cross head die 7 in the tubular form to apply close contact coating over the entire outer periphery of the synthetic resin tube A2 to form a coated tube. This coated tube is inserted in a metallic pipe for thermal expansion, so that it comes into close contact with the inner surface of the metallic pipe, thus obtaining the objective lining pipe. |
