PURPOSE:To obtain a ribbon cassette small in the running resistance in an inversion plate of a printing ribbon by forming a flexible piece for imparting the printing ribbon a tension integral with an inversion member with an inversion plate tilted straight in the on-going direction of the ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A path 17 is provided with an inversion member 21 which has an inversion plate 22 allowing a printing ribbon 18 to pass thereunder, a pair of side plates 23 and 24 supporting both sides thereof, and a flexible piece 25 extending therefrom 24 formed integral from an elastic resin. The inversion plate 22 is tilted at about 45 deg. to the on-going direction of the printing ribbon 18 to reduce the contact area between the two components. The flexible piece 25 is positioned on the side of the downstream outlet of an inversion member 21 and to further reduce the running resistance when the printing ribbon 18 passes through the inversion plate 22. |
