PURPOSE:To obtain a plate having a high durability and capable of preventing the staining of printed matter by the adherence of ink to the surface of the drum of a printing machine by a method in which a stainless steel plate subjected to an etching treatment using a photo-sensitive resin is attached to the surface of the drum. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel plate coated with a photo-sensitive resin is fixed and printed through a screen, and then developed. The stainless steel plate is then dipped in a hard film-fixing liquid, washed with water, dried, and heat- treated. The light-unexposed part of the stainless steel plate so treated is etched by an etchant liquid to obtain a plate 16 for the drum of the printing machine. When the plate 16 is attached to the surface of the drum 6 to be touched by printing face, the adherence of ink to the surface of the plate can be avoided by the uneven face of the plate and also by the ink-repellency of the plate surface. |
