Polyamide and polyester fibres are dyed with an aqueous dispersion of a water-insoluble dye of formula in which X and Y may be the same or different and are hydrogen atoms or methyl or methoxy radicals and R is an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic radical preferably R is a phenyl radical. When dyeing polyamide material dyeing is preferably effected at the boil for 1-2 hours and in the case of polyester dyeing is preferably at 130-135 DEG C for 1 hour or at 100 DEG C for 1-2 hours in presence of a carrier. Yellow-red shades are obtained.
