PURPOSE:To make the length of a yarn unwound from a package accurate and improve the percentage of success in yarn ending, by stopping a reversibly rotatable roll when the rotational frequency in the reverse direction of the reversibly rotatable roll reaches a given value, and rotating the package in the forward direction. CONSTITUTION:A yarn (Y) unwound from a package (P) by a reversibly rotatable roll 17 is cut to a given length, and the resultant yarn end is moved just above the outlet of a taking out pipe 3. The roll 17 is further rotated in the reverse direction to insert the yarn (Y) in the taking out pipe 3. The rotational frequecy in the reverse direction of the roll 17 is sensed by pulse signals in proportion to the further rotational frequency in the reverse direction, and the roll 17 is stopped when the number of pulses reaches the set value. The yarn end is then fed to the fiber bundling surface of a spinning rotor 2 to carry out the yarn ending. The package (P) is then rotated in the forward direction to take out the yarn (Y) out of the spinning rotor 2. |
