PURPOSE:To obtain a nice healthy improved extract solution, suitable for a seasoning, a raw material for health drinks, etc., by passing the extract solution of a shellfish component through an ion retardation resin column to remove common salt therefrom. CONSTITUTION:An ion retardation resin, e.g. ''Snake cage resin SR-1'' having both cation exchange groups and anion exchange groups in the same resin particles, is packed in a column, and an extract solution of a shellfish, e.g. short- necked clam, corbicula or clam, is fed to and passed through the column packed with the ion retardation resin to adsorb and remove common salt contained in the extract solution in the resin. Thus, the aimed extract solution containing rich proteins, amino acids, vitamins, selenium, etc. is obtained. The resin adsorbing the common salt can be regenerated by introducing water thereinto to eliminate the common salt therefrom. |
