PURPOSE:To facilitate the calculation of translation and typing fees eliminating the need for counting the number of printed words by counting the total of space codes and shift codes to display the number of words. CONSTITUTION:After the initial time or shifting each line, codes for alphanumerics and symbols are outputted to a printer 105 from a processor 103 and identified with a code identifying section 106a to open an AND gate 106c by setting a flip flop 106b. Thereafter, each time the identifying section 106a identifies space code and shift code, a signal SNL generated is inputted into a counter 106d to count. When a shift code is identified, the flip flop is reset by the signal NLS to close the gate 106c to stop the counting of signals SNL generated until any code of alphanumerics or symbols is identified. |
