Compns. contg. ginseng exts. for shampoo and rinse are discribed. Thus, 5kg ground parts of ginseng (leaves, stalk, and blossoms) were soaked in 30L 70%-methanol for 5 days to give exts. of ginseng-ground parts. This was treated with a mixt. contg. 10g guarhydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, 10g animal protein hydrolysate, and 10g tris-(oligooxyethyl)-alkylammonium phosphate to give stabilized exts. Ten parts of the ext. were mixd with 90 parts of shampoo or rinse to give the product.
