CONTROL DEVICE FOR BASING ON NITROGEN CARBURIZATION

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which enables uniform carburization by the constitution wherein the total oxygen concn. of gaseous N2 and air is controlled according to a set value and enriched gas is controlled to adjust adequately the carbon potential in the furnace gas. CONSTITUTION:The signal for the measured value of carbon potential is calculated by a converter 12 from the outputs of an oxygen sensor S for measuring carbon concn. and a temp. sensor TC1 provided in a carburization furnace F and is outputted therefrom. The signal is compared with the set value from a processor U by a controller 14 for carbon concn. which outputs a control signal thereby actuating a motor operated valve MOV1 to control enriched gas. The total oxygen concn. of gaseous N2 and air to be supplied to the furnace N is measured with a densitometer 7 for oxygen. The measured value is outputted through a converter 8 to a controller 11 for oxygn concn. in which the signal is compared with the set value from the processor U to output the control signal, thereby actuating a motor operated valve MOV2 to control the air. The value detected with the sensor TC2 is further outputted through a converter 16 to a temp. controller 17, where the value is compared with the set value from the processor U and a heating system H is controlled.
