PURPOSE:To enable to use a single device switchingly in one-time mode, multi- mode and color mode by only replacing an ink sheet, by controlling a driving roller in accordance with the operation of mode-setting switches for a controller. CONSTITUTION:A single driving roller 28 is provided for feeding out and retracting a recording paper 2 and an ink sheet 16 by cooperating with a platen roller 20, and a controller 44 for controlling to forwardly rotate, reversely rotate or stop the roller 28 in accordance with operations of mode-setting switches 41-43 is provided, and a recording operation in one-time mode, multi-mode or color molde is conducted by replacing the ink sheet 16. A roller 4 is driven by a stepping motor 6. By energizing a solenoid 11, a roller 5 is brought into contact with the roller 4 to display a function as a resisting roller. The ink sheet 16 is let out from a supplying roll 18, and is taken up by a take-up roll 21. A sensor 37 detects that the trailing end of the paper 2 has passed through the platen roller 20. |
