PURPOSE:To scatter toner and to charge electrostatically the toner uniformly and develop a low-potential latent image by providing a developer supplier with an electrode group, and giving those electrodes a potential difference enough to move the toner. CONSTITUTION:A developing roll 8 which has several hundreds-several thoussands of small electrode group 8n formed lineary in a cylinder surface faces a photoreceptor 1 which holds an electrostatic latent image at an interval of 50mum. An elastic blade for specifying toner layer thicknes provided atop of a toner hopper abuts on the developing roll 8 to supply a specific amount of toner to the developing roll. When a wave-shaped voltage is applied to the electrodes successively, the toner 2 while scattering is carried on the developing roll and charged during the scattering. A bias is applied to a development part to make the polarity of the toner coincident with the polarity of the latent image, thereby carrying out reversal develpment. The toner is carried by rotating the developing roll and may be scattered only at the development part. |
