<p>PURPOSE:To perform a rolling of the next time and subsequent stages in the best condition from its initial stage, by storing the present speed when a detected value of interstand tension or loop height of each stand coincides with a target value for a given time, and using said speed as a speed set value. CONSTITUTION:A comparison computing circuit 60 is anew provided, parallel with a subtractor 54, to a titled device of plural stands arranged tandem. The circuit 60 substitutes a loop height (h) obtained from a detector 51, a converter 52 and a target value (href) of loop height obtained from a setter 53 into an equation I (l: loop length, L: distance between supporting points of looper), and checks always the relation in an equation II (lref: target value of loop length, DELTAl: a value obtained by substituting a range of setting accuracy of loop height control into the equation I ). And when the equation II is kept for a given time DELTAt, a storage signal ST is outputted to make a switch 44 ON.</p> |
