PURPOSE:To freely set a turning radius of curvature in relation to the steering angle of a steering wheel, by varying the steering ratios of front wheels and rear wheels according to the steering angle of the steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:Control of a steering wheel 101 results in steering of front wheels through a tie rod 103 by means of a gear box 120 for steering front wheels. Another pinion shaft 152 is also mounted in a gear box 120, the pinion shaft turns a crank pin 158 through the medium of a shaft 154, and rear wheels 116 are also steered by the rotation of the crank pin 158 through the medium of a tie rod 113. The pinion of each rack-pinion is mounted to an eccentric shaft, and this veries a steering ratio according to the steering angle of a steering wheel. Thus, a turning radius of curvature in relation to a steering angle can be freely set. |
