Waste paper is retreated in a series of floating chambers. The suspension effluent outlet is connected to the suspension inlet of the next chamber; a mixing agitator, air bubbler, and frothe discharge nozzle are equipped in each cell. Each cell is a horizontal tubular body inclined in the backward direction. The body is divided into several regions by vertical walls, and a suspension inlet, suspension outlet, froth discharge nozzle, and air bubbler are located in each region.
