PURPOSE:To make it possible to greatly change the track of a vehicle with the slight amount of steering during its ultra-low speed turning run by changing the direction of a rear wheel in the opposite direction to that of a front wheel based on signals from a vehicle speed sensor and a handle angle sensor. CONSTITUTION:A control device 4 is operated by the signal of a discriminator 24 based on a signal from a vehicle speed sensor 23 when the car speed is less than a prescribed one, and a signal corresponding to a steering angle theta stored in a control map 54 is given to an electromagnetic changeover control valve 6 based on a signal from a handle angle sensor 22. A fluid pressure actuator 7 is driven by a prescribed stroke by hydraulic fluid from a fluid pressure source, and a knuckle 34 is turned around a ball joint by track rods 36, 37, allowing the direction of a rear wheel 8 to be changed. When the direction of the rear wheel 8 reaches a prescribed steering angle theta, a fluid pressure circuit is cut off, allowing the fluid pressure actuator 7 to be kept in said cut off position. |
