Welding glass compositions are described and are characterised by glasses which weld at low temperature with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which have a high resistance to chemical products, in particular towards attack by acids. They consist of a mixture of base glass containing lead borate and of beta-eucryptite, these welding glasses also having a high resistance to mechanical impacts and thermal shocks. Use of these welding glasses for welding together the ceramic components employed in microelectronics circuitry.
