<p>PURPOSE:To expand the range of moving acceleration of a sphere body and improve an operation feeling by increasing the density of the center part of the sphere reading out the movement of a positional information input device while rolling on a plane more than that of the shell part of the sphere. CONSTITUTION:The positional information input device 11 holds the sphere 16 in its housing 13 pivotally by rubber rolls 17a, 17b and is enabled to move on an operation board 12 by steel balls 14a, 14b fixed on the bottom plate 13a. The sphere 16 consists of the center part 16a and the shell part 16b. The center part 16a is composed of a material such as iron having large density and the shell part 16b is composed of a material such as rubber having smaller density than that of the center part 16a. Consequently, the sliding of the sphere is extremely suppressed to improve the range of the moving acceleration of the sphere which is followed by the rotation of the sphere and improve operability.</p> |
