PURPOSE:To effectively form a product into a desired ball shape such as a spherical body and an ellipsoidal body, etc., by polishing the material to be processed in a space formed by a bottom part and a top part possessing the polishing surface on the inner surface of the side wall inclined, enlarged, and bent toward the outside. CONSTITUTION:A bottom part 1 is provided with a side wall 3 inclined and enlarged toward the outside, the inside surface of a joining part between the side wall 3 and a bottom plate 4 forms a bent surface 5, and is a rough surface for polishing. A polishing operation is performed from this bent surface 5 to the side wall 3 inside surface. On the contrary, a top part 2 is provided with the inside surface downward bent in its peripheral part. When a material to be processed such as a regular cube and a square pillar, etc., is put in a space formed with the bottom part 1 and the top part 2, and the bottom part 1 is turned for a prescribed period of time via a rotary shaft 6, a material to be processed is polished, allowing a ball-shaped product 7 to be obtained. In case the material to be processed is a regular cube, a true sphere-shaped product is shaped, and in case of a square pillar an ellipsoidal body product is obtained. |
