PURPOSE:To promote the pre-mixing of a gas and primary air and to equalize the quantities of a premixed gas to be supplied to flame holes by a method wherein a swirling device is provided in a premixed gas chamber. CONSTITUTION:The gas supplied from a fuel supply port 2 is transferred into the pre-mixed gas chamber 4 through a gas distributing pipe 12 and a gas injection hole 13. In this case, the primary air flows into the pre-mixed gas chamber 4 by the swirling device 14 having a primary air supply port 7. The gas entered the pre-mixed gas chamber 4 and the primary air are mixed with each other and injected from the flame holes 10 through small holes to thereby start combustion of the burner 1. Thus the gas and the primary air form swirling currents so as to be mixed with each other forcibly within the pre-mixed gas chamber 4 so that the complete pre-mixed gas is produced.
