PURPOSE:To prevent a cutter from being damaged, by permitting a rod member to be worked by transferring and loading the rod member in succession before working by a finely arranging apparatus for rod member edge, when the edge part of the rod member is fed continuously into a prescribed position in a thread cutting machine. CONSTITUTION:A rod member P which is transported onto a line of rollers 51 is collided with a stopper 59, and the top edge of the member is arranged. The rod member is loaded onto a line of temporary setting bases 52 by one turn of a gear 44, without being turned, and when the gear 41 turns, the rod member is loaded onto a line of rollers 54 arranged before a rod-member edge working apparatus M. Since a little discrepancy in the direction of length is generated on loading onto said line of rollers 54, a finely arranging apparatus 62 for edge part is raised to push-back the rod member by a certain distance from the edge working apparatus, and then the apparatus 62 is retreated and lowered, and then arrangement of position of the edge part is performed again immediately before the rod is fed into the edge working apparatus M. Therefore, the line of rollers 54 applies brake to prevent the rod member P from advancing excessively. Therefore, the rod member P is turned around the center and worked by the working apparatus M. |
