The subject matter of the invention is a grinding roll for a sheet-deburring machine. The grinding roll has a roll body 1 which is provided with a highly elastic coating 3, for example expanded rubber. Furthermore, a clamping device 4 is located in the roll body 1. The clamping device 4 firmly clamps the ends of the abrasive belt 6 pulled over the surface of the roll body 1. A foil 7 can be inserted between the abrasive belt 6 and the surface of the elastic coating 3 so that the hardness of the grinding roll can be changed by simple means. <IMAGE>
