A device for cutting to length stripped pieces of a coaxial cable or the like, consisting of blades arranged side-by-side and a carriage under the blades, the point where the cable is to be cut through being placed in front of the blades and then rolled along under the blades, in such a manner that the cable is at the same time cut through by a central blade and the ends produced thereby are stripped by the other blades. The invention consists of a unit for the automatic, step-by-step transportation of the cable being arranged in front of the blades in the movement direction of the cable, such that a tube carrying the cable is located between the unit and a point shortly in front of the blades and such that control devices are provided to match the transportation movements of the unit and the rolling movements of the cable to one another. Using such a device, coaxial cables can be cut and stripped completely automatically. <IMAGE>
