The aim is to create a holding device for a built-in ceiling lamp, the swivel arm of which is simple and inexpensive to produce and can be swivelled both in and out in essentially every position between its two screw bearings. For this purpose, the invention provides the bearing of the screw 4 on the inside of a cylindrical lamp housing 1, the swivel arm 8 is constructed in a L-shaped manner, one arm part 12 being bent essentially in the form of a circular arc towards the swivel axis 10 and penetrating a longitudinal slit 13 of the housing wall 3. The swivel arm 8 bears on its outside a locking cam 14 which prevents the swivelled-out swivel arm 8 from swivelling in once again in an undesired fashion.
