The invention relates to a multiphase stepping motor having a rotatably supported rotor 1 which has a plurality of rotor magnets 2 which are magnetised with alternating polarity along their circumferential direction. The rotor magnets 2 are surrounded by coils 3, arranged coaxially side-by-side, which are in turn surrounded by stators 4. A disc 5, which is arranged between two stators 4 and consists of non-magnetic material, contains a detector element for detecting the rotation state of the rotor 1, which element can be connected to a correction control unit to initiate corrections in the drive circuit. <IMAGE>
