Mounting for steam irons

A steam iron (1) is parked in a mounting which is attached to an ironing board (2) and which has a closed rectangular carrying stirrup (3) inclined at 45 DEG . The steam iron (1) is supported with its lower face on an upper horizontal carrying bar (4) and with its rear side on a lower horizontal carrying bar (5) of the carrying stirrup (3). The carrying stirrup (3) is connected to a vertical supporting bar (6) which is received removably and pivotably in a pivoting bush (7) fastened to the ironing board (2). The steam iron (1) is at a height and in an angular position convenient for handling and, even if there is a sudden pull on the cable cord, cannot fall out of the mounting. <IMAGE>
