In a method of producing solar generators 43 in a conveyor belt manufacturing system, a substrate strip 3 preferably composed of uncured fibrous tissue impregnated with synthetic resin is passed over a first belt conveyor device 1 and is fitted on the latter with the aid of industrial robots 12 and on a second belt conveyor device 15 with solar cell modules 22 in a group array inside a reinforcing edge 14. The solar cell module groups 24 pass through a curing oven 30 in which the synthetic resin of the substrate strip 3 and sealing adhesive for the solder joints of current cables 23 undergo curing. After leaving the curing oven 30, the solar cell module groups 24 are cut up by a further industrial robot 12 incorporating a water or laser beam device 42, checked for their efficiency with a bar-type lamp 44 and prepared for despatch. <IMAGE>
