The purely mechanical stringed musical instrument is characterised by a rotating sound box strung with strings. The strings are arranged on different rotation planes and can be set in vibration in a planewise manner via plucking mechanisms. A rhythm arrangement accentuates the playing of the strings. The instrument is, when foot-operated, particularly suitable as an accompanying instrument to a melody instrument. At the same time, by means of different chord planes, it extends the possibilities of a hurdy-gurdy. Characteristic is the rushing, simultaneously bell-like sound which is marked by light beats in the pitch.
