PURPOSE:To make it possible to re-drive a fuel check valve through a possible minimum number of operations by a method wherein in the case of the fuel cut control device provided with a dry battery power source and a self-holding check valve, the signal from a fuel flow rate sensor is used for detecting a failure in cutting a fuel. CONSTITUTION:When the number of pulses exceeds a predetermined value within a pulse counting time, the output of a first pulse counting section 6 generates an output voltage HI(T1) as shown in the drawing (PVOUT). In this case, a valve drive section 10 operates at the leading edge of the output voltage and generates a fuel cut signal for a predetermined period of time. If the signal from a sensor input section 2 is inputted notwithstanding that the fuel cut signal is outputted from the valve drive section 10, the number of pulses is counted at a second pulse counting section 12. Thus, when the number of pulses exceeds a predetermined value within the counting time of a second timer section 11, the output of the second pulse counting section 12 generates an output voltage HI (T2) as shown in the drawing (PVOUT2) and the valve drive section 10 operates again to generate a check valve drive pulse to a fuel cut section 4 for a predetermined period of time at the leading edge of the output voltage HI(T2). Therefore, it is possible to prevent a failure in driving the self-holding check valve by using the signal from the fuel flow rate sensor for the measurement by a fuel flow meter and the detection of a fuel cut failure and also to prevent the rapid consumption of battery power. |
