PURPOSE:To control the generation of self-excited vibrations by a method wherein sound absorbing members are provided on the wall surfaces of a primary chamber and a secondary chamber of the gas adjusting device. CONSTITUTION:In the gas pressure adjusting device such as a gap burner or a proportional pressure control valve adopted to adjust the initial pressure of a gas supplied to a domestic gas utensil in proportion to the capacity of the utensil, concave sections 16 are provided in the wall surfaces 15 of the primary chamber 2 and the secondary chamber 3 at parts 7 to which an inlet pipe 1 and an outlet pipe 4 are attached. Then the sound absorbing members 17 made of glass wool are inserted into the concave sections 16 and attached to the wall surfaces 15 of the chambers 2 and 3 at the abovementioned parts 7 after covering the front surface of each of the sound absorbing members 7 with a front plate 18 having a number of holes. As a consequence, it is made possible to reduce the distribution of sound pressure around a vibratory body by providing the sound absorbing members 17 on the wall surface of the chambers 2 and 3. |
