PURPOSE:To enable a plurality of clamp segments in a pipe rotating clamp unit to be automatically interchanged en bloc by eliminating an operation of interchanging clamp segments with manual operation in varying pipe size. CONSTITUTION:Clamp segments to be interchanged are inserted into respective four guide rails 10 of a clamp segment interchanging unit 9A and held therewith to engage a claw link 11. A pipe rotating clamp unit C is moved to a clamp segment interchanging position K by the operation of a cylinder 38. The cylinder of an automatic clamp segment interchanging unit A is operated to move an interchanging arm 3 toward a pipe rotating clamp unit C. The claw link 11 of the interchanging arm 3 engages the clamp segment and withdraw it from the pipe rotating clamp unit for interchange.
