A child's plate is provided with a pin which projects essentially at right angles from the underside of the plate and can be inserted in a borehole on a child's table in order to prevent lateral slipping of the plate on the child's table. A fixing means may additionally be provided, for example a nut, a clamping element, a bayonet closure or the like in order to prevent unintentional removal of the plate from the table after the pin has been inserted in the borehole.
