The invention relates to a beet harvester having at least one digging group, there being mounted in front, in the region of the digging bodies, at least on one side, preferably on both sides, an obliquely set clearing rotor (clearing star) (9) which has elastic drivers (tines) (9a) and which clears away from the digging row weed and/or leaf materials lying on the ground. Each clearing rotor (9) is equipped with laterally narrow rubber fingers and is held so as to roll on the ground. Preferably, there are two clearing rotors (9) set so as to converge vertically in a V-shaped manner relative to one another towards the ground and, as seen in a top view, diverge rearwards in the direction of travel (F). <IMAGE>
