<p>Metallic product is coated and passes through a high vacuum, where the bath emits metallic vapours. A device continuously measures the concentration of one constituent of the vapours and indicates this value. A device compares this measured value with a given reference value of concentration and emits a signal, in the event of an error. A control system is sensitive to the signal and operates a feed device for the bath of molten metal so as to eliminate the error. This is used to coat a steel strip with a non-oxidising alloy of chrome and nickel.</p> |
