The invention relates to a device for atomising fluids, in particular for inhalation purposes, in which a gaseous pressure medium emerging from a compressed gas channel in a nozzle body sucks in the fluid to be atomised out of at least one intake channel adjacent to the compressed gas channel and in which a gas stream directing element is arranged opposite the compressed gas outlet opening in the outlet cone of the compressed gas. The emerging compressed gas is made to rebound and fan out, respectively, against this gas stream directing element. According to the invention, in such a device the upper end face (14) of the nozzle body (5) facing the gas stream directing element (15) falls away from the compressed gas outlet opening (11) towards the intake opening (19,20) of the intake channel (12,13). In addition, the underside (16) of the gas stream directing element lying opposite this face is directed in such a way that the end face of the nozzle body which falls away with increasing distance from the extended axis (18) of the compressed gas channel (6) moves away from this end face. As a result, when the airstream is switched off, a droplet of fluid is prevented from remaining between the upper end face of the nozzle body and the underside of the gas stream directing element, in which droplet a stream of fluid could pass from the intake channel into the compressed gas channel. <IMAGE> |
