The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for an actuator of a brake system which is to be automatically actuated when the speed of travel is below a limit lying close to zero and the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are not being operated. The brake is to be released again when the accelerator pedal and/or the brake pedal is operated. In this way a driver of a vehicle, particularly one with automatic transmission, is relieved of operating sequences, for example when stopping at traffic lights.
