<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability for the separation performance by rotatably supporting one edge of a separation roller in swingable ways and installing a separation roller at the other edge and pressing said roller onto a feed roller, in a paper feeder for a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A separation roller 2 onto which a torque limiter 18 whose one edge is fixed onto a separation shaft 14 axially supported rotatably is installed at the left edge of the shaft 14, supported rotatably and in swingable ways within a prescribed range on the plane including the shaft of a feed roller at the right edge of the separation shaft 14. With such constitution, the relation between the pressing force PB of the separation roller 2 and a blank-form returning force TA is determined by each distance from a fulcrum 22 to a gear 15, bearing 24, separation roller 2, and the center of gravity of the shaft 14, namely l1, l3, l4, and l2, and the influence of the change with lapse of time can be eliminated. Thus, reduction of separation performance by the lapse of time can be prevented, and reliability can be improved.</p> |
