Charging system for drum magnetic separators

The charging system relates to a method and a device for separating dried bulk materials using a magnetic drum separator. It has been a problem here hitherto to separate very fine grade granules and to increase the throughput. These two problems are solved with the invention in that the charging material (16) passes through the active area of the magnetic field (5) at the drum casing (6) in accelerated free fall. The invention can be used in the region of weak-field and strong-field magnetic separation for roller separators, drum separators and casing ring separators, in particular for superconductive magnet separators. <IMAGE>
