The invention relates to an automatic vending machine for packaged products. In known automatic vending machines, the packs together with the products are stored in column forms, the packs selected by a user being transported to an exit by means of a common dispensing device. There are difficulties in adaptation to different pack sizes, in the amount of space required, in the operating capacity should a defect occur on any storage column having the packs, and finally in the detection of an empty storage column. It is therefore proposed that a number of separate dispensing modules be assigned to the respective storage columns, each having a separate dispensing device on their underside, and that there be provided a horizontally arranged plate (1) which is designed as a holding device and on each of the longitudinal sides of which a shaft (4, 5) is arranged, one of these shafts being driveable by means of a motor (2). Furthermore, there is provided a conveyor band (3) which runs over these shafts (4, 5) and surrounds the plate (1) in the longitudinal direction and which has drivers (6), between which a respective holding-down device (8) for actuating a contact pin of a microswitch is arranged at equal intervals. Finally, there is provided a microswitch which is to be actuated by the lowest pack via a contact pin (9) and by means of which the circuit of the drive motor (2) ...
