PURPOSE:To miniaturize the drive system for a lance pipe of the soot blower and to smplify the lance pipe support structure by a method wherein a cylindrical section which is rotated by steam injected through the lance pipe is provided on the top end of the lance pipe. CONSTITUTION:The rotary cylindrical section 22, a shaft 23 and wings 24 are connected together integrally; bearings 26, 29, spacers 27, 30, a seal 32 and a stopper 33 are fitted in the lance pipe 2; and a stopper 25 is removably connected to the lance pipe. The steam blown through the lance pipe from the left as shown by the arrow flows along a steam guide inner cylinder 28 provided inside the lance pipe and is sprayed onto the wings 24 provided on the shaft 23 so that the cylindrical section 22 rotates by the power of steam. Further, as the lance pipe performs linear motions, it is possible to inject the steam from a fluid injection hole 7 drilled in the side surface of the cylindrical section with the steam made to draw a helical locus. |
