<p>PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of storage per bin as well as to improve the productivity of copying work, by installing plural bins in a vertical, multistage manner, while making up the inlet side of each bin expandable by means of arm lever carrying a Y-shaped member and an indexer, in case of a collating device for copying machines. CONSTITUTION:Copying paper entered from B is housed in the first step bin 6 through an indexer 19. This housing is sensed by sensors 28 and 29, causing the indexer 19 to go down. With this, a kick pin 20 of the indexer 19 collides with the lower stage of a Y-shaped part 12B of an arm lever 12 whereby this lever 12 turns round in a counterclockwise direction and, after the pin linking the lever 12 is pushed upward, the kick pin 20 is disconnected from the arm lever 12. In this step, the arm lever 12 holds an upward pushing position by the help of a spring 16 and the inlet of the bin 16 is expanded yet larger. Thus, enlarging each inlet in regular sequence, the quantity of paper storage is increased to the extent of its dimensional limits so that improvements in the productivity of copying work come to fruition.</p> |
