PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the numbers of pulse motors, motor drivers and motor-controlling circuits, by a method wherein a platen roller for printing on the face side and a platen roller for printing on the back side are driven to rotate by a single driving means in common. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end 1a of a paper is fed between a thermal head 5 for printing on the face side and the platen roller 6 by a feeding roller 3 driven by a pulse motor 11 and the distance between the leading end 1a and a cutter 4 becomes a predetermined length, the paper 1 is cut by a signal from a CPU. Then, face-side printing is conducted by repeating a controlling cycle wherein the head 5 is operated to print a one-line quantity and then the platen roller 6 is rotated by 1 step by the pulse motor 14. In this case, both of the platen rollers 6, 8 are rotated synchronously with each other, and when the leading end 1a reaches a head 7 for printing on the back side, the paper 1 is rightwardly fed by the platen roller 8, and back-side printing is similarly conducted at a predetermined position. Accordingly, the numbers of motors and circuits can be reduced, and synchronism can be easily achieved. |
