PURPOSE:To find quickly the stability of a solid-liquid suspension, by measuring the density of solid particles at the lower bottom part of a standstill vessel after allowing to stand the solid-liquid suspension at a higher temperature than its storing temperature. CONSTITUTION:After a fixed quantity of a mixed fuel 1 is put in a vessel 2 and a thermostatic chamber 3 is kept for a fixed time at a fixed temperature of 100-120 deg.C high temperature higher than 70 deg.C mixed fuel storing temperature. The density of coal particles at the lower bottom part of the vessel 2 is found by such a method as an analysis of the coal density or a measurement of electrostatic capacity of a suspension etc. and the stability of the mixed fuel is evaluated. Sedimentation of the coal particles is promoted by heating the vessel at 100-120 deg.C high temperature and the rate of the coal particles the same to that which is heated at 70 deg.C for one month is obtained by heating several hours. |
