PURPOSE:To allow a high precision computation of fuel injection timing by a feedback control to match the actual fuel injection timing to a target fuel injection timing which is obtained by calibrating the reference injection timing in accordance with the atmospheric pressure which timing is computed from the engine speed and the fuel injection quantity. CONSTITUTION:A CPU2 computes a target injection quantity and a target fuel injection timing Tfin based on engine speed signal from operating conditions detector 1a-1e, intake air flow rate signal, engine coolant temperature signal, intake air temperature signal and atmospheric pressure signal. The CPU2 is inputted with the timer piston actual position Tpp from a timer piston actual position detector. An error between the target timer piston position which is dictated by the target fuel injection timing and the actual timer piston position is detected, and a solenoid valve 22 for timer piston position modulation is controlled to rectify the error. By this constitution, the fuel injection timing can be computed with high precision. |
