<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution, reduce the cost and miniaturize the size of a paper feeding device, by using a feed roll having a cross section of a circular form, from which a part is cut off, and feeding in an alternative way copying papers contained in a paper cassette and those fed by hands. CONSTITUTION:When copying is performed onto copying papers 3 contained in a paper cassette 2, a start button is pressed. A feed roll 1 is rotated in the direction of the arrow and the arc-part of its rubber belt 24 pressure-contacts with the copying paper 3, and then, the copying paper 3 is delivered from the paper cassette 2. When copying is made onto a copying paper 8 having a different size while the paper cassette 2 is mounted, the paper 8 is put into an inserting port 10 by hands and fed to the space between rolls 1 and 31 through a main chute 25, etc. Since the recessed part 22 of the roll 1 faces to the roll 31, the leading edge of the paper 8 can be put smoothly into the space between the rubber belt 24 and roll 31. Therefore, the constitution can be simplified, the cost can be reduced, and the size can be miniaturized.</p> |
