PURPOSE:To enable to stop a main engine in a minimum time by a method wherein a protective device is put into actuation for the urgent stop of the plant, if a breaker is not off even when a certain fixed period of time has elapsed after the generation of abnormal vibration. CONSTITUTION:The value of Ta and a value under counting are monitored by a monitoring device 22. After that, the device 22 decides that the breaker for parallel running turns out or not before a time limit set at the step 17 counts up. When the breaker turns out before the counting-up of the time limit, the normal slow stop pocedure is performed in order to stop the main engine. However, if the breaker for parallel running does not turn out even after the set time limit counts up, the monitoring device 22 detects the abnormality and consequently gives an instruction at the step 18 to the protective device 20, which causes to perform urgent stop controlling in order to urgently stop the main engine. |
