A thermal cell with a calcium anode and a solidified electrolyte, having a stabilized discharge voltage comprising, intercalated between the anode and the electrolyte, a layer of a mixture of eutectic and a solidifying agent, where the eutectic is a LiCl-KCl eutectic composed of 45 % LiCl and 55 % KCl, characterized by the fact that the solidifying agent is an oxobase.
