An apparatus for packaging products with film material comprises a frame and a member for wrapping the film material around the product. The member is a rotatable frame assembly mounted in a frame structure and arranged to be rotated by a rotating means. In the rotatable frame assembly is mounted a film material roll and braking and diverting rolls. In the frame structure is disposed a gripping device to engage and release the film material. The drive means moves a supporting frame of the rotatable frame assembly in the vertical direction. The apparatus comprises a cut-off and seaming means for cutting the film material and for seaming the cut-off end of the film material, and a pressing device which descends on the product. |
