PURPOSE:To obtain the title copolymer which can give a thermoplastic molding resin of excellent antistatic properties, by reacting a specified high-MW monomer with an aminoalkyl group-containing vinyl monomer and a copolymerizable vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:20-80wt% high-MW (number-average MW of 1,500-20,000) monomer (A) having a polymeric part of a vinyl monomer (e.g., methyl methacrylate) and one polymerizable vinyl group bonded to one of its terminals is reacted with 80-20wt% aminoalkyl group-containing vinyl monomer (B) which comprises a (meth)acrylate (a) having an aminoalkyl group as an ester residue and/or a (meth)acrylamide (b) having an aminoalkyl group as a nitrogen substituent and 0-60wt% monomer (C) copolymerizable with components A and B [e.g., a (meth)acrylate having a polyoxyethylene chain as an ester residue] in a solvent in the presence of a polymerization initiator. |
