PURPOSE:To enable to shorten the period of time required for one-time printing, by a method wherein platen rollers for face-side printing and back-side printing are driven to rotate at two different feeding speeds so that a paper is fed at a low speed at the time of printing and at a high speed at non-printing time. CONSTITUTION:The paper 1 is fed by a feeding roller 3, and when the leading end 1a of the paper 1 is fed between a thermal head 5 for face-side printing and a platen roller 6 to a position spaced from a cutter 4 by a predetermined distance, the paper is cut. When face-side printing is started, a pulse motor 12 is driven by pulses for low-speed feeding, and the paper 1 is fed at a low speed by the platen roller 6 for each one dot line. When face-side printing is completed, pulses for high-speed feeding are supplied, the paper 1 is fed at a high speed by the platen rollers 6, 8, and when the paper 1 reaches a position for back-side printing, the pulses are changed over to the pulses for flow-speed feeding, and back-side printing is similarly conducted by a thermal head 7 for back-side printing. When back-side printing is completed, the pulses for high-speed feeding are again supplied to discharge the paper 1 at a high speed. |
