PURPOSE:To securely record at a predetermined position of a recording paper and prevent bad registering of a recording position from occurring, by a method wherein a scanning carriage is provided with a sensor for detecting a paper, and recording is conducted at a position corresponding to the detection of the paper by the sensor. CONSTITUTION:Ink-jetting heads 91, 92, 93, 94 for respective colors are located at a home position in accordance with either mono-color recording or full-color recording, and in this condition, deflection quantity is set, and scanning for recording is started. In scanning for recording, forward scanning is first started, and scanning pulses generated from a rotary encoder are counted by a counter Ra (not shown). When the left end of a recording paper is not detected by a photo-sensor 60 before the carriage 22 is forwardly moved by a predetermined distance, a lamp is turned ON to indicate the above. When the left end is detected, another counter Rb (not shown) is started to count, and after the counter Rb counts in accordance with a preset color mode, reading of recording data is started. |
